NCSA serves as a partner in developing excellence in educational leadership, providing the “tools” necessary for administrators to be successful. Knowing it was time to update and enhance the website, NCSA looked to Pickering to create a new site with a solid content management structure, providing the flexibility to control almost every component of the site. This enhanced flexibility allows the organization to quickly adapt to growing technologies, including the use of QR codes to download presentations in the iTunes store. It also features improved navigation with a streamlined
calendar function, allowing users to quickly find events and register online.
Developed with a responsive design website, the content and functionality is effortlessly displayed on any size screen.
A large home page slideshow below the primary navigation grabs visitors’ attention and quickly directs them to an area of interest.
Designed to provide quick navigation below the scroll, the rich content footer is also another attribute that enhances search result listings.
An aesthetically pleasing interactive calendar provides for a quick reference of events and their descriptions.
Keeping a consistent look and feel on interior pages is important. Each interior page offers a focus on primary and secondary navigation, as well as quick reference links for visitors.
As a statewide organization focused on education, NCSA works in tandem with many other organizations and affiliates across Nebraska. It is important to communicate its joint efforts with web visitors, which was done through a page dedicated to affiliate organizations.
Visitors stay informed through links and downloads of NCSA’s news and publications housed on the website.
Developed in Drupal CMS, the website allows administrators to log-in and effortlessly update content and imagery to ensure the website stays current.
