Pickering Creative Group recently launched a new mobile website for Nature’s Variety. The natural pet food company located in Lincoln, Nebraska, wanted to build upon the accessibility of www.NaturesVariety.com. The creation of the mobile version allows significant improvement to the user experience and satisfaction while increasing portability and connectivity.
Analytics showed that over ten percent of current users to the old site were accessing it via smart phone. With this number likely to exponentially grow in the near future, Nature’s Variety turned to Pickering to design and develop a site that was optimized for a variety of mobile devices. Although the entire site can be accessed via a mobile device, it was important to deduce the most important features that mobile users were likely to access. These features, such as a store locator, feeding guide, and FAQ, were placed near the top of the page for quick entry. The entire design was streamlined and optimized to ensure a fast upload time and the ability to quickly scan through pages.
The entire look and feel of the site is consistent with the Nature’s Variety brand, from the navigation, to the graphics and the familiar slide show. The site is integrated with social media including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. A rich content footer was included with important links for coupons, eNewsletter signup, and a clickable toll-free number. The site is apt to be a fulfilling experience for every visitor.
A Feeding Guide page is a convenient way for visitors to learn more about the appropriate amount of food to give their pet. An easy-to-use radio button format makes the feeding guide intuitive and simple to use.
An Ingredient Glossary lets visitors search for product ingredients by keyword or alphabetical search. Each ingredient is listed with useful information.
One of the most important aspects of the site is the Find a Store page which is conveniently located on the main navigation and allows visitors to enter in a zip code, city, or state and find the nearest Nature’s Variety retailer.
