The National Conference on Weights & Measures shapes the national standard for weights and measures. Pickering designed a professional, vintage-looking layout paying homage to the 100+ year history of the non-profit, while incorporating black and white photography throughout. The site, developed with Drupal CMS, functions as a resource/information hub that draws from a large database accessed via user log-in. Additionally, the site has e-commerce and event registration for users.
NCWM Homepage Slideshow, Social Media, & Site Search
The website features a large slideshow comprised of historic photos related to weights and measures. Historic photos are also included in a sliding photo strip. Visitors can easily search the site, log in as members, and quickly connect to social media.
NCWM Interior Page Template, Sliding Login, Header Management
Interior pages display customized header images and a member login feature. Visitors can find information about NCWM and discover the benefits of becoming a member.
NCWM Contact Information Interactive Map
State by state contact information is prominently displayed in the Resources section of the site. An interactive map lets visitors simply click on a state to find contact information pertinent to that state.
NCWM Ecommerce
NCWM publications can be purchased directly from the site. The site utilizes a shopping cart, making purchases simple, secure, and convenient. Member prices are displayed and highlight the added benefits of becoming a member.
NCWM NTEP Database
The website features a robust NTEP database that visitors and members can search. Searches can be narrowed by model, device type, status, keyword, and CC issue date. Search results can be further organized by column headings and include downloadable PDF documents.
NCWM Member Only Area
NCWM consists of a large Members Only section of the website. Members receive access to newsletters, annual reports, strategic plans, publications discounts and meeting registrations, and can access many other resources.
NCWM Purchase/Renew Membership Online
Members can easily log in to the site to access the many benefits. Signing up to become a member is a simple process on the site as well.

Visitors to the site can sign up for Interim Meetings and make payments directly on the site.

A membership directory allows visitors to search for other members by name, organization, and city/state. This valuable networking tool is only available for members and is great for connecting.

Members also have access to NCWM newsletters featuring current issues and activities of NCWM. Newsletters are searchable by year and can be viewed online or downloaded.
NCWM Regional Microsites
Additionally, NCWM has regional microsites that are tailored to specific regions in the country. The sites maintain the branding and structure of NCWM while also maintaining a unique and region-specific look and feel.
NCWM Administration Area
NCWM employs a CMS (Content Management System) which allows for easy updates to the site’s content. Virtually all content on the site is updated by NCWM.
