Pickering Creative Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new website for Gering Convention & Visitor’s Bureau of Gering, Nebraska. The informational site – www.VisitGering.com – positions the area as an affordable destination for personal travel, conventions, meetings, and group events, while promoting the city’s authentic experiences and natural landmarks.
“This is a perfect example of content, imagery, and SEO working together,” stated Trent Wilcox, vice president at Pickering. “The end result is a highly intuitive website for those seeking valuable travel information in a timely fashion.” Using the silhouette of Scottsbluff National Monument as a frame, images of the stunning western Nebraska landscape cycle as a slideshow on the homepage. Due to the site being developed with Drupal content management system (CMS), Gering CVB staff can easily update and maintain the website to ensure the content stays fresh and relevant.
“The site is dynamic, visually appealing, and includes navigations for venues, group services, attractions, lodging, shopping, restaurants, and maps that are available for download,” according to Karla Niedan-Streeks, Executive Director of the Gering CVB. “It has been my extreme pleasure to work with the team at Pickering Creative Group throughout this development process. Despite working ‘long distance’ Pickering made the process problem free and it has been an outstanding relationship.”
The Gering Convention & Visitors Bureau is a city-funded, independent CVB. The mission of the CVB is to market and promote the image and awareness of Gering as a unique convention and tourism destination; to attract significant numbers of new and repeat visitors to create a positive economic impact on our community.
